Together Forever

Ophelia has lived a troubled life. After her mother's death, she decides to leave everything behind and move to a complete new continent. She wants to forget everything that she's had to go through and wants to start fresh, away from her abusive father. She decides to change her name and her identity in hopes of being able to live a normal life without having to worry about whether or not she will wake up alive the next day.
Xavier, on the other hand, hasn't had an easy life either. Being raised by a single mother and having to start a business from scratch wasn't easy but he was able to do it, even though he's not proud of the way he did. Getting held up in the wrong crowd and being forced to lead an entire gang after being reunited with his paternal family wasn't something he wanted but that doesn't change the fact that he likes what he does. He has used his newly established influence and power to change the way things run and to bring justice that the police and courts aren't able to bring.

All she wants is a few moments of happiness and normalcy, knowing full well that her past will catch up to her sooner or later. All he wants is to be able to justify his success to himself and to make things right. Love is something neither of them have given thought to. Ophelia is scared of her demons bringing down the people she cares for, whilst Xavier is scared of giving someone the power to be able to bring him down.
