7 parts Ongoing "24 hours. My life restarts at every 24 hours, this is almost like Re: Zero. But, it would be fine if I'm the main character-instead, I am a goddamn throwaway guy!!"
A high school student, is transported into Grimspire, his favorite dark fantasy novel-a world of brutal violence, monsters, and despair. But he's not the protagonist. Instead, he's a minor, expendable side character, a nobody destined to die. Worse, he discovers he has a curse: every time he dies, the previous 24 hours reset. While it sounds like a blessing, Mercer quickly realizes that dying over and over again comes with pain and trauma that only he remembers.
To escape this loop, Mercer decides his only hope lies in helping Arlin, the novel's true hero, reach the end of the story. Mercer, knowing the plot inside and out, tries to guide Arlin's path from the shadows. Using his resets to manipulate key events, Mercer aims to keep Arlin alive-believing that if Arlin reaches the conclusion, he might escape this hellish loop. But as he navigates the deadly world, Mercer realizes the story is changing. Events deviate from what he remembers, and Arlin is far from the perfect hero-becoming hardened, desperate, and willing to sacrifice anyone for victory.
Mercer's struggle grows more desperate as the novel seems to fight back, altering its course to trap him. Each reset pushes Mercer closer to madness, as he faces moral dilemmas and escalating danger. Will he survive long enough to escape this cycle, or is he destined to die endlessly in a world that never wanted him in the first place?
