Ash has been in Alola for a few month now. He enjoys his new friend but he can't help but miss his past adventures in Kalos with Clemont,Bonnie, and Serena. When ever he thought of her it would feel like there were butterflies in his stomach.
Serena on the other hand was tired. She was extremely frustrated and overwhelmed. She was exhausted. She was training in hoenn for a while now and was drained. She missed Kalos so much. She missed her mom,her friends, and she missed the raven haired boy the most out of all.

Our Promise, Our Future
After winning the Kalos League and keeping their promise, Ash and Serena continue their journey together. From new regions, to new Pokemon, to new battles and new experiences. Whatever lies ahead, they don't know, but they will face it together. This is a sequel to my Our Promise one-shot (which you can read if you'd like for some extra exposition but it's not required). I kept looking over it and I saw more potential in it, but instead of going back to that story, I decided to keep it a one-shot and make the sequel a multi-chapter story. I don't know how many chapters I'll write, but I'll try to make it long enough to be considered a good read. Upon losing the Kalos league Ash returns home to find a site he didn't expect, most of his prior traveling companions betraying him. With his girlfriend Serena and his Pokemon by his side and knowing his mother still believes in him, he leaves to the Aloha region. Five years later the world champ decides he's ready to retire and a tournament is being held in the Aloha region to decide the new world champion. Ash, now the Aloha champion, will compete to become the next world champion, as well as get some payback against those who betrayed him, and those who made his mother suffer just to get to him.
