Y/N Lupin and Fred Weasley have been best friends since their first year at Hogwarts. Sure, Y/N has been close with George and Lee but her and Fred's friendship was always closer and they always had that special connection. Fred over the years has been falling deeply in love with her, and no matter what he does, she will never be able to escape his mind. However, Fred has to watch her fall in love with Cedric Diggory. Debating whether to move on or not, he decides to wait for her. Any moments he gets with her, he will not let himself take it for granted. He knows she is the one for him, he just needs to prove to her that he is the one for her.
Story starts in Prisoner of Azkaban so Y/N and Fred's fifth year, so 15 years old. Cedric's sixth year so he is seventeen.
