Maegor Targaryen ended up having a son with Ceryse Hightower. The son was supposed to be the heir but was displaced by Jaehaerys Targaryen.

That son ended up creating a new cadet branch of Targaryens.

That branch ended up having the most dangerous players in the Dance of Dragons.

Those players would be known as the most ruthless and feared Targaryens in history. 

When the gods tossed the coin for them, many still wonder whether it landed on madness or greatness.
