Fifteen year old Noami has a typical high school movie life with the typical hierarchy. A popular mean girl who pisses her off more than a normal person should, her best friends, a jock/trouble maker, a makeup and clothes obsessed popular, and a nerdy tech geek. Add a few songs and backup dancers, and this could even be a musical. But this book isn't going to be a high school musical.
 
Her world suddenly comes crashing down when her parents go missing and she is sent to live with an aunt she didn't even know existed. She meets a strange creature who reveals her old family secret, a new world and her destiny. She and her friends are part of ten Chosen to defeat a great evil. Whatever high school musical life Noah lived just turned into an unbelievable fantasy /and or horror book. 

She travels across the world, eventually crossing over to another planet, unraveling dark secrets and endless lies. Two worlds will be plunged into darkness and death....unless she does something about it.  A group of teenagers chosen to save the world...this was sounding more and more like a plot of Harry Potter or Percy Jackson...maybe a high school musical doesn't sound so bad now.
