Everest is no ordinary IceWing, and when her mother makes her go to Jade Mountain Academy, she makes friends, enemies, and discovers more and more about herself and her strange gift: future-seeing. What's worse is that her mother won't tell her about her father, and if he was a NightWing or not; and that leaves Everest to wonder if she is even an IceWing.

When Everest receives a prophecy about Jade Mountain, she tells everyone she knows, turns an enemy into a friend, and discovers a terrible secret about her school.
