With his memories restored and the children of the world safe once again, Jack finally has time to ponder about his life. What happened to his family? He had a sister. He saved her. What became of her after his death? 

A whirlwind inside and out, Jack becomes so absorbed in finding out more that the rest of the world falls away; he neglects his duty as a Guardian - even Jamie gets left behind.

Will he find himself again before the darkness consumes him?

Or was the world always destined to be Cold and Dark?
