Gu Meilian doesn't know much about the world outside the cottage, her home. She only knows the stories told by the people who come by to seek medical help from her father, a pharmacist.

Both seek out answers to who they really are and how they ended up in the mortal realm, and apart from each other with no recollection of their previous lives.

However, I do feel disappointed by many of them, with too many characters that vanish into irrelevancy, sometimes arcs that are overly repetitive and a lack of characters ideals. In this story, I aim to instill more character ideals, motivations, and integrate said characters throughout the story, and ensure their interaction with the main character remain relevant to his heart. Perhaps, it's best to say I want the story to have a 'human spirit' that one could feel in old-school wuxia and action/adventure stories.
