A classic story of someone dying and waking up in a video game/anime in place of the Protagonist. However, will game knowledge really hold up when such a game becomes a new reality?

See how our protagonist tries to secure a future where he can enjoy his new nigh immortality and get a happy ending. Let's see how this new reality puts him at his wit's end!

By the way.
I've seen how people write the FF here with the whole Male Reader X SumCharacter/Franchise or just Female Reader plainly. I tried to write this as Male Reader with the whole (Y/N) and all that jazz but my brain kinda short-circuited (is that even a word?) and just decided to write this as a Novel. So I made it SI (Self Insert or mostly 1st POV)

I don't own Code Vein.

Jack and Ann have taken me on a great adventure full of mystery and incredible technology, I hope you'll join us. I know you have a lot of reading choices, but if you have space left in your literary adventure cup, please join Jack and Ann as 2021 turns into 2022, happy reading! __ The demon whispers inside Jack's mind. "They are not worthy, they are cattle, these new humans you covet. The so-called creator has betrayed you, replaced you with these organic imitations. Slaughter them all." It's funny, not in a ha-ha funny way, but a sad, my madness doesn't make sense type of way, Jack thinks, because wasn't he human? Worse still, the voice comes with impulses that are hard to resist. Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. Come along on this action-packed thriller as Jack fights to remember who he is, tries to end an eternal war, and atone for sins he doesn't remember...yet.

You may think that this is just a normal story with a few clichés and just a normal love story where the female lead is extremely denser than the whole world right? A lone kitsune within an endless wilderness. The life of a Catastrophe Messenger is one of uncertainty. With no end in sight, they traverse the incredibly hostile landscapes that define Terra beyond the walls of the nomadic cities, collecting and delivering vital information for the survival of Terran civilization against the onslaught of devastating Catastrophes. The story follows Apollo, a kitsune-turned-Catastrophe Messenger, through the many areas and aspects of Terra that individuals outside his profession will never get to witness. All while ensuring his own survival among an environment where nature itself is out for blood. "It's all about saving lives. More lives." ...How naive. If only it were that easy. Deadly anomalies. Dangerous wildlife. Tensions between factions whose effects cannot be avoided, even in the middle of nowhere. And a haunting past. In short... business as usual. Time to get to work. This story is a bit like Arknights meets Death Stranding, since the job of a 'Catastrophe Messenger' and general situation is strangely similar to a 'Porter'. It will operate almost completely independently from the plot of the game itself. This story is thus aimed more towards readers who like to immerse themselves into a unique perspective of the world of Arknights and not into a recreation of the in-game plot. So if you like Arknights, but can't wrap your head around the game's plot, then this story should fit for you. (Definetly not an excuse for the fact that the author is just interested in the general worldbuilding itself and not the game's plot directly.) As such, mistakes are to be expected, for this is my first experimental dive into the world of Arknights. Feel free to correct them if found. The 'Mature' tag is only for occasional descriptions of injuries and blood, as Messengers often face dangerous situations that can cause injury and sometimes even death. These will not be constant and not extreme. Arknights belongs to Yostar.
