Shealeigh Valence was society's idea of perfection. She was a track star, straight a student, put together and always nice to everyone. But not everyone is what they seem to be at first glance. Sometimes you have to look deeper to really know someone. That is something that Shea knew all too well.

Nathan Reed is someone who doesn't look like they belonged in Summerville, South Carolina. He was sarcastic, arrogant and a little judgmental. But Nathan wasn't always like this, like everyone there's always that one event that molds you into the person you are today.

These two seem like they would hardly get along ever but once they move past the surface and look past what they want everyone to see them as, they realize that they have a lot more in common than they would have every guessed.
