Ashlynn Jacobson might not have a perfect life, but it's not a bad one, either. She is perfectly fine with her existence, living with her five older step-brothers, her step-father, and her biological little sis, Claire. Everything is great. Until it's not. When Ashlynn is challenged to believe something she's thought to be stupid propaganda all of her life, everything changes. Loyalties are overturned, core beliefs are rocked, families torn apart. Ashlynn has an important decision in her hands. If she says no, everything will go back to normal...except for her. If she says yes, she can never go back.
