Dahlia Connors has never had someone to call her own and has always felt alone in this reality of a world. Besides her brother, and best friend Caleb Rogers, she hasn't felt more comfort and understood than in books more than anything else. With her parents constant fighting and her trying to take care of herself and shield her brother from this thing she calls a family, she stays afloat.
She is just trying to make it through her last year of high school, get her anxiety and depression under control, and go unnoticed.
