Everyone is born with a cupid. This cupid is given eight arrows to use on the person they are assigned with to be given eight chances to have their person fall in love. 

Tina Alderidge is on her last chance of falling in love but before her cupid is given a chance to shoot their arrow Tina shoots first and manages to kill her cupid. She's had enough heartbreaks for a lifetime. So when Tina manages to kill her cupid before she could fall in love again the council in charge of helping humans fall in love, are furious.  

Having Tina sent to talk to the Great Cupid, she is given the chance to find the one her cupid was going to shoot and fall in love with him in one month before time is out. Helping her on this quest to find her "true Love" is a friend of her former cupid,  Xander Thomas. Instantly it is hate at first sight with these two but they have to set aside their differences if their going to help Tina find her lover and shoot her shot.
