Ophelia Pippa Hastings - unruly, rebellious, determined, lighthearted and the daughter of an Earl and a Countess. Much like all young women born into an aristocratic family in the 18th century - Ophelia doesn't have much say in the decisions made about her life.

Moving away to live with a man who cares little for her happiness and desires only her body and surrounded by many unknown faces- Ophelia faces multiple life changing moments in a short span of time.

At the tender age of sixteen her life has taken a turn for the worst, and when her life is put at risk she will have to look to the unlikeliest of characters to save her world...or complicate it.
