Book four follows Kenzo Santiago-Brown as he maneuvers through his teenage and young adult years battling his mental health. From being in and out of pyschwards, seeking multiple therapist and psychiatrists for help, his parents fear the worst for his future.

With his own problems to focus on, finding love is not even a thought. However, his world gets turned upside down when he comes across a girl who is just like him and makes him feel as if maybe he was not so different after all. But with timing and life events preventing them from pursuing what could be, she ends up slipping through his fingers several times making him feel as if they are not meant to be at all. When his heart gets split in two and choices have to be made between life and death, Kenzo ends up lost, falling in an endless pit of darkness with the Sun being his only way out.
