Savior of the Shadows

Irina Taylor, a girl who lives in the 1940s with the gift to see any human's soul, goes from a social outcast to a prophecy come true. But there is a realm that coexists with ours, invisible to the majority of mankind; only a select few can see through the veil dividing the worlds. Little does she know, Irina's gift makes her vulnerable to the horrors that exist under that veil. The young oracle must find a way into the other realm to fulfil her fate and make it out with her own soul still intact. However, the Curator will stop at nothing to keep his souls in the other realm and add Irina to his assemblage of Dark Shadows.

"And you think I am some prophecy come true? Someone who can save you all?"

"Why would the Curator bother with just a girl?"

He made a good point. The Curator could have merely been taking caution concerning me for the small likelihood that this prophecy was true. However, the greater possibility was that I was not just a girl. I was made to save these Faded Souls from the Curator's tyranny. There was only one problem. I effectively had no idea how to do that.

"So will you stay and help us?" Anthony asked. Deep down, I already knew I had made up my mind. This was my fate and there is no use trying to run from something that is certain.

"I'll stay."
