Among the many thousands of casualties was the entire Ryujin Clan, a clan with a history of heroic samurai, and it is believed that Clan Asaiyo attacked Okimura with the sole purpose of getting revenge on Lord Ryujin for a duel fought years prior. Only one known member of Clan Ryujin was known to survive the attack: 11 year old Kojiro Ryujin, who was then exiled from Okimura for illegally obtaining the powers of kenjutsu, exclusive to licensed samurai. Five years have passed and Kojiro is now a 16 year old bounty hunter, as well as one of the seven members of the notorious ronin bounty hunting group, the Rogue Kengen.
