Gerda managed to survive her fall in the chapel after attempting to kill off the moor folk under the queens orders. Instead of becoming a prisoner in Ulstead, the king sends her to Borra where she becomes his slave.
Borra wants nothing more than to kill and tear Gerda apart for slaughtering his people. Gerda would enjoy wiping out the rest of Borra's kind starting with him.
He despises every ounce of her for being a human. She despises him for being a fey. Both equally hate each other. However, both need each other to save their world from new threats.
