Hearts in Oblivion || Eddie Diaz

After being given a second chance at life, Marina Cruz decides it is time for a new change. With the help of her cousin, she drops out of college, moves to another state, joins the fire academy, and becomes a firefighter at the 118.
Two years later, after a no strings attached relationship with her best friend Evan Buckley, she quickly realizes that she has never been in a committed relationship that lasted more than two weeks or even been in love for that matter. Eventually, Marina gets her first shot at love... which ends tragically. Promising herself to never go through that pain again she builds up walls in her heart and swears she'll never fall for anyone.
But then Eddie Diaz, the new firefighter at the 118, unknowingly starts to tear down those walls, and with the help of his son Christopher and their best friend Buck, he manages to make his way into her heart.
Unfortunately, Marina and Eddie are two very dense people, and while everyone knows that they are in love with each other they seem oblivious to it all... until they no longer are.
