He did not doubt in his mind that if he denied her this, he would forever lose her. She looked at him as if searching for approval and assurance. He cupped her beautiful face in his hand, and she closed her eyes for a moment then look at him again. He bent over and planted a kiss on her lips, which she readily answered.
