Lavena, a small child watches from afar as her family is slaughtered by a vicious Kabukimono gang.

She fled into the woods, jumping over branches and rocks, to find a place to hide. Eventually, she crawled into a space under a log and began to quietly wait.

After several moments, she hears a rustle nearby. She was preparing to crawl out and run when an alpha jumped out of a bush and approached her in a curious manner. He licks her face and nestles up against her. He was petting the friendly creature when a ronin from the gang found her and drew his weapon.

The alpha whips around, jumps on the ronin, and bites his throat. The ronin collapses on the ground, clutching his neck, as he bleeds out and dies.

Once the ronin is no longer a threat, the alpha prances back to her and jumps over her head.

She got up and looked over the log to see that the alpha had transformed into a handsome man.

"You are my mate, chosen by fate."

"How dare you try to reject her, you fucking freak! You hurt my friend, so I am going to hurt you." She threatened powerfully, grabbing him by his throat. "You will try to like her, and at least give her a damn chance. I am Alpha Hudson's mate. Get over it." She dropped him to the ground, her long hair swaying in the breeze. Claws grew from his hands, choosing to swipe at her ankle. Noticing his attack, she grabbed his arm. Getting down to his level, the crack of his bone snapping in half echoed in the morning air. An ivory tip stuck out of his arm, my inner wolf howling for her. "I don't love her." He declared desperately, reaching for her with her other hand. "I love you, and did when we dated." Her fists clenched tightly, blood dripping onto the ground. Shaking her head, she stood up. Fresh tears streamed down her cheeks, a broken smile shattering my heart. "You broke up with me, remember?" She snapped icily, trying to fight the tears. "You left me the day my parents died, and told me that you couldn't handle the baggage. So fuck you! Treat her well or I will kill you if she gets hurt more." She was trying to unlock her car, Grayson towered over her. A silver blade shimmered in his hand, her foot knocking it out of his hand. "Your parents were right about you." He taunted cruelly, his gray eyes darkening. "They were right to call you a loser, and a failure all of the time. They paired me with you to improve yourself, and learn obedience like the good dog you should be." Enough was enough, her body collapsing to her knees. Parking the bike, she looked relieved as I rushed to her side. "You don't deserve my sister." I barked bitterly, scooping her up. "And you managed to break Evie again. Great job man." Tears streamed down her cheeks, her finger gripping my sleeve. She never told me about her home life, guilt eating me raw. Everyday she bounded by my side with the warmest smile.

Luna had always been the odd one out in her pack. While others gushed about mates and romance, she preferred the company of nature, basking in the moon's energy, and dreaming of becoming a healer who traveled the world. But fate had other plans. One fateful night, while she was deep in the forest on one of her usual explorations, her pack was ambushed by a powerful rogue army. By the time she returned, everything was in ruins her home, her family, her entire world reduced to ashes. Homeless, orphaned, and drowning in guilt for not being there to fight alongside them, Luna made a drastic choice. Ignoring her wolf's desperate protests, she brewed a deadly potion laced with wolfsbane and drank it in one go. But instead of finding peace, she woke up to a nightmare alive, but without her wolf spirit. The once-promising healer had become a broken enigma, a wolf without a wolf. Desperate to survive and seek revenge, she hid her identity and joined the Golden Moon Pack as an omega, determined to stay under the radar. That plan lasted about five minutes because, as luck (or fate) would have it, she caught the attention of Alpha Marcus the pack's powerful, brooding, and utterly ruthless leader. As threats from rogue wolves and hidden enemies close in, Marcus and Luna are forced to work together. Sparks fly, tensions rise, and their bond grows stronger with each passing day. But Luna's secret? It could shatter everything. All rights reserved. *Short Story* It is difficult to stay with the people who look down at you like you are some kind of disease. It hurts when they don't want to acknowledge you for the good things you have done. It hurts when your family rejects you only because you are quiet and weak saying you are good for nothing. Annie Ryan was nothing but a quiet, innocent teenager waiting for her mate to save her from the dark hell she was living in. She had only one dream, she wanted to feel loved, she wanted someone to tell her that they care and would love her no matter what happens. But little did she know that she was just another unfortunate soul whose mate had different plans. Caden was an young alpha. He had everything but where everyone was eager to meet their mate, he wasn't. He had already given his position of alpha female to his girlfriend. But after she left him, he turned cold and ruthless. But when he met Annie, his mate, one thing was clear. He wanted nothing to do with her. He asked her to leave but when she declined, he paid her no attention like she never existed. Annie was broken. Her dream was just a dream. Every night she closed her eyes, she realized she was going to die alone with no one to care. She wanted to end her life but not before setting everything right, not before her destined alpha mate finds his happiness. Caden didn't know what he was missing until he lost it. Maybe that's how life works. Maybe that's why it is called cruel.

"Today is not a good day Gage," Mac said. "When is a good day? Tomorrow? Maybe the next day?" Gage said he was stepping forward pushing against her hand. "I can ruin your shirt every day this week." He winked at her again, but she didn't smile instead she let her claws out and she ripped down his shirt revealing his eight pack. "Oops, looks like I ruined your shirt." Mac mocked. "Wanted to see me naked I get it?" Gage said. "What is wrong with you, one week you hate me and now you are joking with me?" Mac said. "I'm just having some fun," Gage said shrugging. "Well let me have some fun," Mac said, she pushed him over so he was halfway bent backward over the table, his hands behind him to support him. She had her hand on his chest and she could barely concentrate electric shocks coursing through her fingertips. "You want me and you know it," Gage said leaning into her. She was your average everyday nerd. But what happens when one night on a blizzardy road a werewolf kidnaps her throwing her into a world that she never wanted. But with this world, she finds her family that she couldn't live without. She doesn't know whether to fight or run, especially when there are multiple people out to get her. But one thing is for sure, the guy in her history class is causing her stomach to stir. Taking it one day at a time and getting sweet sweet revenge is her new life, whether she wants it or not. I have decided to re-write Black Luna. This is the new revised one. So if you have already read it, please no spoilers for the new people.
