Louis and Harry claim they never met at The Battle of the Bands they both competed in, but they did.
Louis will never forget the unnamed boy's dimples and curls. That night at BotB was the best one night stand he had ever had but was also saddened by the thought that he'd never see him again. Not until he saw from his place in line at the X Factor that unforgettable head of curls walking into the men's room.
Harry remembers that competition like it was yesterday. It was the best night of his life. His band only won the competition because he knew the boy with the sunshine smile was watching. As he waited in line for the X Factor he realized how badly he needed to go to the bathroom. He really should've gone before they left.
Flashbacks to Battle of the Bands where Harry's old band White Eskimo and Louis' old band The Rogue played. Takes place at the X Factor. Possibly some Niam.

Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles. Two boys who have hopeless crushes on one another, despite never having a conversation. Their lives are far from perfect, and what makes it even worse, is that they don't have each other. Louis has taken notice to the boy with curly hair who works at the bakery. Harry wants nothing more than to be with Louis, yet the fear of judgement holds him back. It's obvious to everyone that these two boys were meant for each other. But Louis and Harry are afraid of losing everything. @zpanacea sent me this suggestion: Harry is a painter. The time comes when he can't paint because he lost inspiration and can't get himself to paint. When he was trying to paint again, he let his hand do the work. He looked at the finished product of his painting, it shows a lad smiling at him with ocean-blue eyes, and like beckoning him to be with him. When he touches the painting he got sucked in and finds himself in an unfamiliar living room with toys scattered all around (which is the Tomlinson's residence). Alright, I tried to keep to the main idea but I had to make some changes to make the story work. Harry is a painter and after waking up with a dream fresh in his mind he paints the boy in his dream. When he touches the painting he ends up in a parallel universe with a boy named Louis.
