"So all this while, you have been lying to me. All this while you have played with my feelings and now you expect me to be okay with it," I hollered at the top of my voice. The people who I loved unconditionally were the ones who had betrayed me. Lies were wrapped like a gift and were served in the platter of illusions. And I was naive to believe them.
"Sam, it was for your own good."
"You don't get to decide what is good for me when you are no one to me," I screeched, my throat prickling with the bottled up emotions. Smashing all that which was in my visible range, I let my anger overpower my senses.
"How many more things have you been keeping from me. How many lies, how many more secrets which are still untold."
In reply, all I got was silence. A silence so deafening that it hurt more than words would ever.
