Wedgewood Home for Children. That's where Brooke found herself at the young age of six. Abandoned by a mother who cared about herself more than her own child. Brooke manages to survive and even thrive at the Home. She does her chores and follows all the rules, even helps take care of the other kids as she gets older, all the while hoping that maybe someday, someone might come in and decide to adopt her. All she really wants is a family of her own, who will love her and give her the stability she's never had. As her eighteenth birthday draws closer, Brooke worries and tries to come to terms with the fact that adoption is probably never going to happen for her. She knows that as soon as you turn eighteen, you are forced to leave the Home. Brooke is scared of being put out on the streets with no place to go.
