The rebellion is over, and Katniss and Peeta are married. This story is told by the perspective of their 14 year old daughter, Primrose. She has asked her parents about The Hunger Games, but never gotten an answer. But when she walks into school one day and sees her parents, she knows she will get her answers. Primrose can learn about The Hunger Games, but did she actually think she would be in them?

In what used to be North America, the proud country of Panem now stands. The rulers from the Capitol hold a televised survival competition in which one male and one female between the ages of twelve and eighteen are reaped to fight to to death in an arena designed to be as deadly as the tributes, themselves. This game is forever known as The Hunger Games. Peeta Mellark, District Twelve's Baker's son, has been, madly in love with his companion, Katniss Everdeen, since the small age of five. Ever since tragedy gave him enough courage to ask for her hand, the unspeakable happens. Katniss's little sister, Primrose, is reaped for the death sentence. Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough. And it would be his love. It had to be. This is my verson of The Hunger Games, originally writen by Suzanne Collins.
