I stared at the ocean. I watched as waves crashed several times. Sprinkles of water landing on me. My name is Rosalie.
This is the spot me and my mom used to visit. After she got sick we stopped visiting it. She stayed at the hospital most of the time. For the past 6 months my mother has been in pain and has been very ill. No one has asked about her. No one has asked if I was ok. Even if they did. I have no idea what I would've said.

I now visit it here again. Without my mom. Its weird now. I usually talk with her. Now, I'm just silent. I barely talk to anyone anymore. I pushed away my friends. Well, if you could even call them friends.

I stared at the ocean some more. I felt someone sit down next to me. Thats odd. No one sits at this bench. I looked over, I saw a boy my age, light brown hair, with beautiful hazel eyes. I turned away, I felt his gaze on me while I looked at the ocean. I looked at him again, he put out his hand for me to shake it.
"Hey, my name is Ryder."
