"Our eyes met, at least I was pretty sure he was looking at me. I wanted him to be. I didn't break away. I wanted to see how long he'd maintain his gaze. His eyes melted into mine, boring into my skull right until the very last words were sung, at which point he turned his head slowly, eyes still on me, until it was impossible for him to keep looking at me."

When Amber goes to a The 1975 concert with her boyfriend Louis, she wasn't expecting to be making out with Matty Healy in front of him and thousands of other people, nor was she expecting for Matty to contact her after the show. Will his relentless efforts to pursue Amber work on her? Is she making the right decision? Or will Matty be her biggest mistake yet?

Water // Matty Healy ♣ The 1975 by biglosergal
26 parts Complete
Elizabeth was wading through pretty rocky waters, and so was Matty. “In tragedy and despair, when an endless night seems to have fallen, hope can be found in the realization that the companion of night is not another night, that the companion of night is day, that darkness always gives way to light, and that death rules only half of creation, life the other half.” ― Dean Koontz, Lightning. If there’s one thing that Elizabeth Frost knows, it’s that life is hard. With a mum who walked out on her at the age of seven, making way for a fairy-tale like, cruel step-mum and a father that did nothing to ease her pain, Elizabeth was thrown into a deep, dark void of loneliness. Now at sixteen, Elizabeth lives in a state of hopelessness. And then one day, without any warning, she is forced to leave, with only a one-way ticket to London as a parting gift. This broken shell of a girl has no clue what to do, and she feels completely alone; no light shines in her dark life. But what she is about to find out, is that everything has a companion, strong to weak, brave to scared and even dark to light, and Elizabeth might just have found her ‘light’ in the form of a brown haired, hazel eyed boy named Matty. Apart they are nothing, but together they begin to learn that they are strong enough to hold their heads up high, brave enough to conquer the world and eventually they learn to love as much as two unloved creatures could; unequivocally, passionately and recklessly.

"Please don't go." "I'm sorry." "I hate you." "Can we go somewhere?" "I forgive you." "Do you actually love me?" "I don't want to be here anymore." "I fucking love you." "I'm sorry." "Please stay." These were things said often between the two. They were so enthralled in each other. They couldn't get enough. Skin to skin wasn't close enough. Kissing constantly. Driving with hands gripping thighs. Hands tangled in hair. Nails clawing backs. Eyelashes brushing cheeks. Heads resting on chests. They wanted nothing more than to crawl into each other, and never come out. Say goodbye to the rest of the world and crawl away into their own. They loved each other so much that hand holding and neck kissing wasn't enough. Sex wasn't nearly as close as they'd like to be. They wrapped limbs through limbs and never wanted to let go. They couldn't stop. But minutes feel like hours spent apart. They spent hours in each other's arms. Listening to music, driving, singing, loving, living. They couldn't bare time apart. She was obsessed with him and he was in love with her. They romanticised each other. They wrote poetry and songs and lyrics and melodies about each other. He was hers and she was his. They belonged to each other. They smoked together and drank together and they couldn't stop. Maybe it was unhealthy. Maybe it was wrong. Maybe it was toxic, doomed to end badly. Maybe it'd kill them. (Maybe the drugs would.) Maybe they were being dangerous. Maybe this would be the death of them. But they didn't care. *smut warning in quite a few chapters lmaoo* published 2015

gave up on editing idgaf *** Anna; depressed, anxious, socially awkward, bullied, talented, shy. Dan; Bastille's lead singer, awkward in general, insecure, talented, shy. Matt; The 1975's lead singer, drug addict, weird, talented, adorable, successful. Kyle; Bastille's keyboardist, cat lover, outgoing, talented, funny, owner of a moustache. One day Anna and Dan meet and they soon find out they were made for each other. But how will that work out? Will Dan's career and Anna's problems get in the way? What happens when Matt and Kyle get in their way, confusing their minds when it comes to love? Besides all these problems with love, they still have to handle another thing: Anna's career. Yes, that's everyone business. She's a seventeen year old that becomes a singer because of Dan; he helps her through everything, but does she really want that? What will be done about it? How will she handle fame, power, love and hate? *** PS: If you're here because of The 1975, Matt appears on the 12th chapter and the rest of the band appears on the 26th chapter. I'm sorry if you're disappointed by this. But from the 29th+ chapter they appear more often, and from the 34th to the 45th there's just them there really. *** PPS: This title 'The Galaxy Cat Sweater' was because of the plot, but it was kind of left out in the middle of the story, so it really doesn't matter anymore. Just try to ignore it. (I won't change the name because people already know it as the 'weight of living - the galaxy cat sweater' fanfic so yeah)
