Anyone can be whatever they want to be. And that's exactly what Tiana did. She didn't let anyone tell her different. She wanted to be herself and let herself be free and "exposed" to the world. But her daddy didn't agree with the girl/women she was becoming. Tiana wanted to sing but her dad wanted her to be a lawyer so she could bail him out of jail when he gets to drunk at all the bars. Yes Tiana's father was a serious drinker and was drunk 24/7. Tiana was always getting hurt wether it was mentally from school or physically by her father. I know your thinking, where is her mom? When Tiana was a little girl and her mom was on her way home from work she was kidnapped. Five months later they found her mom dead in a car that had clearly been abandoned. That was around the time that her father started drinking. Poor Tiana grew up thinking that her mom left because she didn't love Tiana. But that's all because that's what her dad told her but when she turned thirteen she cleaned the attic.

"Why?" She asked this unarmed woman without knowing why she hated him so much. She never did anything to hurt him. She just laughed viciously without answering him, she didn't have to waste her time with an insect; leaving La to die imprisoned in the house where she was kidnapped. "Answer me!"
