Rigel, Redley, Ellie and even you, end up in Jasper little town for a different reason, a reason that connects you all. Even Mooshie is there, the only one who has always been there: in the cabin, in the woods. And although each story may begin in a different place, as they interconnect, everyone becomes aware that the time of the beast is the time to kill, and that you better beware the full moon: when the prey becomes the predator, and the predator the prey.
"Through the Ice" is a novella formed by six short stories, that allow the readers to choose their own reading order to discover, and complement, the mysteries that link this five characters.

Most humans are only aware of werewolves, which is fine with the rest of the "were" population. It makes keeping hidden easier. Cats are solitary creatures for the most part, making Cassie's cabin nestled in the forest the perfect spot for her. That is, until another werecat shows up and ruins it. Cassie lives in terror of weres because of a terrible tragedy during her childhood. But Jasper is determined to change her mind, and quick. Pietrofalls
Jordana arrives at a small town called Pietrofalls, where everyone knows everyone. She befriends a barkeep who is mysteriously killed the night they meet. The barkeep's death seems to have been caused by a wild animal, but there might be something more to it. More people in town start dying in mysterious ways, and Jordana seems suspicious to the townspeople. Jordana has to solve the murders before the townspeople lynch her. The novel is a murder mystery involving werewolves, which most of the townspeople don't even know exist.
Howls in the night
Christopher has an ordinary life as far as he knows. He is the most popular person in school. All the girls go crazy for him and he has a scholarship for Harvard University. The day that he plans to visit a cabin in the woods with his friends is when his life turn upside down. When he sees a wolf outside the cabin and tells the others, they just simply think Christopher is going crazy. That is, until weird things start happening inside the cabin, and people start disappearing.
