In 2024, a mysterious comet came crashing into Terra, barely leaving so much as a small crater in the surface. From the impact site, government officials find someone alive next to the impact site; a man named Merlin. As 17-year old Keith Sigil and his childhood friend Seira Blackburn were walking home from kendo practice one summer evening, Merlin appears before them. Before he can fully deliver a distressing message to the two clueless teens, foreign spacecraft appeared from the sky, and moments later, death was upon the world. From the countless explosions and energy blasts that riddled the nearby city, the human race almost went extinct that day. Two years later, Keith is now the leader of humanity's only resistance front, a band of survivors codenamed RONIN. Battling the chaos that has ensued since The Fall, Keith must do what he can to protect his newfound family... and confront his own wrath.

Years passed, and on his 18th birthday, Cirus was reunited with Neal. Their friendship rekindled as if no time had passed, and they spent their days together, strengthening their bond. But one day, tragedy struck. As they were walking, the earth trembled, and a massive crack opened beneath them. Neal, without hesitation, pushed Cirus to safety-at the cost of his own life. Shattered by grief, Cirus refused to accept what had happened. Consumed by loss and desperation, he set out on a relentless search for Neal, unable to believe that his dearest friend was truly gone.

While everyone happily welcomes Keith with open arms Lance chooses to keep his distance. Frustrated with Lance's unexplained bitter attitude, Keith confides his stresses to the red lion.
