He's fighting himself, not knowing who or what "he" is. He's panicked, worried, afraid. Its voice shakes him, its image shatters him... Its words frighten him. It hurts him, what does it want from him? That he doesn't know, but he keeps fighting it anyways. Darkiplier only making it somewhat worse.
