"My birthday present to me is that I'm gonna stop forcing down those wretched meds," Tommy scrunches his nose at the mere mention of his medicine, "please let's just pretend." He goes back to pleading for something normal, god he hates that word, normal.

"Pretend what?" Techno asks, a few feet behind Wilbur.

"Pretend that everything isn't shit." Tommy says, looking at his eldest brother.

"But you're-" Techno begins but Tommy isn't going to stop until he gets what he wants.

"I know I'm terminally ill, but let's just pretend that I'm not currently dying." He says, eyes and mind still silently pleading that they will just give in and stop being pricks.

"How am I supposed to pretend if we're still in this hospital?" Wilbur asks, gesturing to the room they are currently in.

Tommy laughs, "Just pretend my birthday is hospital themed."
