"What's hidden under that mask?" said the young man. His eyes stared deep into mine with curiosity. "How can you seem so unbothered after what happened?" he asked with a slight smile forming on his lips as he watches me shift a little in my seat.

"Sometimes you've been through so much that anything at all no longer bothers you" I took a pause and then continued, "I have to appear composed for my people, for my family, for the kingdom, but deep down there remains a striking pain in my heart that is never cured", my voice cracked a bit at the end. He must have seen the tears in my eyes for a slight second before I sucked them back in. 

He took a long pause just watching me as I wipe off all emotions from my face and put on the stone-faced mask again. "Tell me your story and I'll tell you mine....maybe that would heal our wounds," he said with a comforting smile.
He got up from his seat and pulled his hand out for me and said, "Your serenity, may I ask you for a dance?"Tous Droits Réservés

The lights flicked on and I squinted to see a tall and broad figuring standing at my cell door, unlocking it, and walking in. The aura this man was giving out was making it hard not to tremble. I quickly stood up and bowed. "What is your name" he bellowed kinda muffled. I panicked and quickly remembered that the guards had not checked me before putting me in here. I pulled out my speech device and began typing...I looked up for a split second just to see a fist plummeting towards me and everything became fuzzy. I could hear screams but could not make out what was being said. "Why are you following me?" She asks annoyed. "I have not been following you." I find myself responding. The girl states, "Yes you have. Don't lie and answer my question." "Okay, fine. You remind me of someone and I was wondering if you could help me." The girl studies me for a moment. I wonder what she will say. This girl seems very annoyed and threatening. "What do you want from me?" I reply, "I am looking for some people so I can bring them back to our village." This is not a lie. "What village are you from?" She questions. "Just a village." Then the girl turns on me and somehow pins me on to the ground. She says, "You're one of them aren't you. You know nothing about this kingdom. What are you a morphling or a fusion?" I am shocked. How did this girl figure me out? Was it that obvious?

I was walking to the grocery store when I thought some one was following me I turned around and saw no one there so I brushed it off by the way my name is Lara and I was being followed by someone my whole life! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I WAS about to turn the corner when someone grabbed me and used their hands to cover mt mouth. I struggled and managed to push the person off and started sprinting down the street, yelling 'HELP'. I turned back to get a glance at the man who attacked me. I saw his face and it was Der!!! "What the hell Derek!"I shouted " I was scared shit-less that it was a kidnapper or murderer or gang member" It was NYC, who knew what happens at night and what kind of dangerous people are out there. "Shh"he said and covered my mouth. I bit his hand and he removed his hand from my mouth. "Ah, what was that for?" he yelled, his eyes getting darker as he pouted and rubbed his hand. "I don't know what you're up to but you're so being dumped"I told him. He was acting crazy and it was driving me insane because he wasn't telling me anything. He growled and ran towards him with his hands out wide to try and grab me, but I turned and kicked him in the leg as he fell to the ground. "Ha take that I took karate" I said proudly as he was groaning. I was a black belt student. I started sprinting when I turned the corner I saw Derek again with his eyes as dark as the night sky. What happened to his blue eyes?! "But you w-we-were- right there and n now you're here what? and w what happened to your eyes?"I kept stuttering. He seemed so brooding and dangerous and he didn't seem like the Der I knew and loved. Before I knew it, darkness succumbed me.

Highest rank #1 in Historical "That's enough." He said. "Let her go!" His voice came sharp as steel and in command. The man let go and I almost fell on my knees, weakened from days of starvation and caged in the storage. I looked at him uncertain what to do or think. The mysterious man observed me for a few seconds then strode over to his horse, fetching a flask of water. He loosened the lid and handed it to me. I snatched it from his hand like a feral animal and drank and drank until the last drop of water fell in my mouth. I was thirsty and dying, I couldn't get enough drink of water. He offered me spiced rice ball next and I consumed every bit of it in front of him without feeling any shame or reserved daintiness. I didn't care, I was hungry. I could care less whether I looked like a starving animal or a woman. Once I'm done, he merely groaned and said..."Let's go." I understood right then that I was just sold to a new master, and he is now my new owner. My new owner mounted on his horse, I expected to walk while he rode when he offered me his hand to help lift me up behind him. His gesture surprised me, and I jerked at the sight of his wide palm, thinking he was going to hurt me. "Don't be scared." He murmured, his voice is a gentle wave of softness. "I will not hurt you like your previous masters."

"WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. I decided to move away and to try and find an exit but I didn't even take one step back when I heard his voice. "Princess? Is that you?" I saw him raise his head before shooting his eyes onto me. "Talk to me... Because this might be the only time you will ever be able to talk, " he said this sentence in such a calm tone, it caused me once again to shiver with goosebumps. "W-what do you mean...". Never in my life have I stuttered, until then.
