When news about Russia becoming the new superpower was broadcasted, invasions all over the world started happening. The USMC is recruting anyone in good health and over 17 years of age. Aaron H Lance gets sweeped up and is shiped out to the Eastern-Front.

War. You would think after 95 years of fighting the same battle twice, it wouldn't happen again. Only instead of the Germans, we're fighting the Russians. 3,796,100 Russian troops in North-America with millions more in the Pacific, African and European countries. At least that's what Command tells us. We think they are too terrified to say larger numbers because it would destroy our morals. I am being sent to the Eastern Front this afternoon, I'm serving with the 153rd. My identification number is 00847855K. I am now a US Marine. I was born in North Carolina... I will miss it here.

A language that is kind of like English except a tiny bit different. In Pem, it is kind of like America. Except for one big rule that is very scary for anyone. The rule is called "Eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." The rule allows anyone that saves a life to take a life. So, if you save someone then you can legally murder someone. So, doctors are the most feared and praised people in the world. Feared cause they save lives every day and then praised for the same reason. Jed Limestone is a normal everyday kid. Except this doctor named Doctor Brown has been saving his kills for years. He has now just retired at the age of 75 and some people say he is planning on killing many people. But Jed does not believe that. Until he is walking through a hospital and looks through Dr. Brown's office that Dr. Brown mistakingly left open. Jed looks at a board with tons of pictures on it. On the top, it says in big red letters "TARGETS." And he looks at the pictures again. And his face is the 5th picture. Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were.
