This particular poem I wrote when I was going through a time in my life when I was feeling like I didn't really belong anywhere or with anyone. I felt like an extra that didn't quite fit.
Thankfully though, that isn't the case anymore, because someone special opened my eyes, you know who you are.
To anyone who is actually reading this description and is going through the same thing that I was, my advice to you is that sometimes where you belong might just be closer than you think, you just have to look and open your eyes, the ones who are there for you could be right under your nose.

Have you ever felt so lonely you believed there was nothing left for you? Stashed away, merely forgotten. I mean you could cry and cry, yet no one would hear you. At least no one you truly once loved. Being yourself can be detrimental to others happiness, and so you down play who you are. Open your eyes
all of the light went out. i could see the light but i could never walk towards it. i loved the feel of the sun...but i was never allowed in it. i wouldnt melt like the others, and i wouldnt sparkle like the others and i would criple in pain. i would fight it...but i didnt want to hurt those closest to me, thats why i didnt let him in. we were so close, they all thought that we were together...even he was confused. i was confused...i cannot afford to hurt him. he means so much to me and yet i have only known him for such a little time. i guess to escape the darkness...all i need to do is open my eyes.Complete
