Édun is the creation myth of the Pelenath, an ancient people that inhabited what is today known as North America long ere any man or woman crossed the land-bridge of the north during the last ice-age of the world. The tale describes the twin Gods, Éðen (pr. EY-then /'e.ðɛn/) and Etru (pr. EHT-roo /ɛt.ru/) as they create the universe Néyel (pr. NAY-el /'ne.ɛl/) and the world within, Enya (pr. EN-yah /'ɛn.ja/). It too depicts their falling-out over the nature of life and its mortal duty.
