After a year of Colin's kidnapping, Amber sets out to find him at her former job, Latexo Laboratory, while trying to avoid a new threat: Gooliens, a gooey, alien-like creature that suddenly appeared when a couple of asteroids striked Earth.
But after getting herself into a bit of a pickle, she's forced to become friends with one of these creatures, exploring the lab with her new friends help to find her step-brother.
