Destiny Is Just A Word

I went towards her and said, " Hello Mrs. Fernandes I am Dr. Hannah Joice, I will be taking care of you and your baby today. Dr. Nivea Thomas is currently unavailable due to personal reasons, Nurse Mina here will now take you to the observation room so that we can get a clearer idea of your current situation."
She looked at me with a pained expression but tried to smile," Thank you doctor" saying this she was taken to the observation room by the nurse. I was about to follow them when someone held my hand in a tight hold, a bruise might form if I do anything suddenly, so I look up from those tattooed muscular hands to the owner of the hands, God be damned the man was stunning, he had the same chocolate brown eyes as the little boy, he might be the father.
I look him in the eyes and say, "Let me go sir, only then will I be able to help your wife." He looked me up and down as though I was some alien, opened his mouth as though to tell something, then closed it. "Where is my Sister in law's doctor?" He asked, emphasising the word sister in law. Oh , so he wasn't the husband. " As I told Mrs. Fernandes, her doctor is unavailable and right now I don't care about anything but the mother and baby inside that room, so let go of my hands before I call security. Also, inform the husband. She might need him for support." I said giving that handsome creature my amazing death glare. He leaves my hands and surely a bruise would soon form. He then asked, "Are you even qualified for this?"

Wow just wow, he has the audacity to ask me if I am qualified, just who does this man think he is. I take deep breaths trying to calm myself, I can deal with this asshole later, now my attention has to be on the mother inside. I glare at him and move inside and examine my patient.
