Anadil is like a ghost to most in the town of Briar Glen, Nevada, a social outcast only known for her eerie appearance and wealthy family. 

Hester has fallen from grace. Once a top student who valued status and rank above all, she's collapsed into a pit of darkness and self-loathing, no longer caring about herself or anything else in her life.

It's 1995. For Hester, it's the year she hit rock bottom. For Anadil, it's the last year she has to prove herself to her mother.
