A girl who was thought to be normal, suddenly gets a curse, the curse isn't normal, no one knows how it is caused, but the one thing they know is that it is a thing. The curse makes it so only people who love or care about that person can see them. It usually happens at birth, but for me, it happened at the age of eight.
