In the hostile world of Shierra danger is ever present. On the surface roam powerful creatures commonly called Beasts who warp reality around them. In the human societies found in Shierra's Tower City Mega-Structures, corpo-noble famiglie rule as they see fit with deceit and elaborate machinations being their weapons of choice.
Vynn Karvill is a less than ordinary man. A bounty-hunter, a conniving tactician, a masterful combatant, and the only person in all of Shierra unable to wield this world's magical arvic energy. Despite his shortcomings he still abrasively charges into the world seeking the fortune he desires while becoming less inclined towards tolerating the flaws of the society he lives in. His life was unpleasant from the start, but plots and schemes progress around him and soon he will no longer be able to resist becoming involved in the games of subterfuge that dictate the lives of all humanity.
(This story is still a work in progress. I will read through and edit before uploading but each chapter is subject to change. However, any comments, criticisms or general remarks are welcomed and encouraged.)
