GRIDLOCK - Lando Norris [BOOK 1 Gridlock Series]

I loved him, and there were times he loved me too. When the cameras were off and the lights were low, Lando Norris really did love me.

I have to believe that otherwise what else do I have to hold on to?

- Evelyn Verstappen was the younger sister of World Champion, Max Verstappen and widely known for it across the grid.

Lando Norris was the biggest competitor and rival to defend the World Champion against winning another title and the Verstappen family hated him because of it. They deemed him cocky, unprofessional, a bad sportsman and a cheat and the topic of nearly every family dinner.

Unfortunately, Evelyn felt very differently about Lando than the rest of her family.

You were, in every aspect of the word, our rival. My brothers biggest competitor. My teams largest pain the arse. And there was a time there, a very short amount of time, that I thought I had you. I must of had you. Right? I didn't imagine it? The touches, the whispered words, the stolen glances. They happened. They were real? Weren't they? You said you loved me, and I believed you. But did you mean them for me? Or was it just a strategy to get ahead in the game? But I know I'm not crazy, I didn't imagine the feelings I felt, I didn't imagine the electricity. You loved me, even if only for a moment.
