In a small cabin, somewhere deep in the jungles of Borneo, a pair of archeologists, Elise and her partner Lindel, were trying to find a fabled lost civilization, where no technology or human advancement ever laid foot. The talk of the small village nearby spoke of haunting folklore, of a giant beast that lurks in the murky shadows of the jungle. The locals call him: "Batutut", said to be an onomatopoeia of its cry. It is said the Batu guards the jungle and would bring harm any human that dares to be ill-mannered; perhaps an element of the macabre.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. ✮⋆˙ 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞-𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐦✮ ⋆˙ "Get out," he says flatly. He pulls over on an empty road and stops. I look around, confused. There's nothing here but open fields stretching out in every direction. I stare at him, stunned. "What?" "Get out," he repeats, colder this time, not even looking at me. My heart pounds as I fumble with the door handle and step out onto the dusty road. The door slams shut, and within seconds, Vidyut drives off, leaving me standing alone in the middle of nowhere. I watch his car disappear, panic rising in my chest. There's no one here, just the wind rustling through the trees. I try to understand what just happened. I'm not some roadside girl he picked up. I come from a wealthy family, maybe not as rich as Vidyut's, but still respectable. And yet, I endure everything for my family. Now that they're gone, I feel lost-like I have no direction left, thats why Vidyut takes care of their business. How could he do this to me? Why would he abandon me here? Engines roar in the distance. A car comes into view, speeding toward me. My pulse quickens as it nears, and soon, I see the men inside. The car halts, and two men step out. One is tall, muscular, and has a stern, brooding expression. The other, equally tall, wears a charming smile, tattoos visible beneath his sleeves. They're the most attractive men I've ever seen. "Hey," the grumpy one says, his voice low and rough. He sounds irritated, yet still speaks to me, catching me off guard. "You lost or something?" ✿✿✿✿ "𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚-𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙞𝙣."
