Two years after May became the Hoenn Champion, and a High Ranking Coordinator, she finds out about the land of Paldea, aka Gen 9's new region, and plans to become champion there as well, just for the heck of it. 

However, what turns out to be one simple adventure, turns into a ton of new problems that May now has to go through. How will the Hoenn champion fare in the vast land of the Paldea region?
