René Brewer lives on the Socs side of town, has money like the socs, and parents who are socs, but she isn't a soc. René always tried to fit in with the rich crowd but none of the other socs ever liked her. They bullied her most of her life because of her skin condition, causing her to become a closed off, quiet person. René is lonely and her parents are constantly gone with work or vacations. What happens when René meets a boy who actually likes her for her differences and treats her like she's the only girl in the world?
