Lena finds and turns in evidence against Lex, so WITSEC (Marshals Maggie Sawyer, Lucy Lane, & Kelly Olsen) places her in Midvale as a flower shop owner where she meets neighboring bookshop owner Jess and her boyfriend Winn, and a local teacher, Kara and her cop sister, Alex. From there, Lena will struggle to find a balance between the life she wants and the life she thinks she's supposed to live. Lena centric, but ensemble POVs and storylines; world-building and character development driven.
This story is within a No Powers AU. It is an amalgamation of original story work with various locations, character names, character descriptions, and/ or conversations, pulled, used, and/ or referenced from throughout all of the CW Arrowverse and DC Comics Universe, though primarily Supergirl.

Kara and Lena Danvers have been happily married for fifteen years; living in the suburbs with their teenage daughter, Eliza. The only problem is that Kara is not the boring technology sales rep her family thinks she is, but rather a secret agent, especially talented in espionage, weaponry, and hand-to-hand combat. Just as she starts to realize her neglectful ways have her on the verge of losing her stifled wife and disgruntled daughter, the hunt for a dangerous terrorist reaches its boiling point.

Author's Note:
This is an AU rewrite of James Cameron's True Lies 1994 Screenplay. The original was full of 90s toxic masculinity and stereotypes, so some of the behavior is out of character, but through all the angst and (quite ridiculous) action, lessons are learned and a happy ending comes together. Edits are ongoing, but the story itself is complete. Other Notes: The movie's lead bad guy was a Syrian extremist, but I wanted to use characters from Season 6, so I went with an ancient cult out of South America instead. Also, I always think of National City as being in California, usually around San Francisco whereas most of this movie was based between DC and the Florida Keys... So, please pretend there's a Florida Keys-esque chain of islands off the coast of Southern California connected by bridges. Okay? Thank you!
