I am Neteyams #1 fan and i looooove Aonung so i thought, why not make them love rivals?

Also i'm not going 100% by the movie events, some things that occur in the movie might not happen in this, but no promises;)

Ayturi has always known she would become a mated pair with the Metkayina Chief's son, Aonung. It was her greatest happiness as a child, to love him and follow him around, the mighty warrior she would one day call her own. And yet, Aonung always looked at her like some kid he just couldn't shake.

As Ayturi got older, she began to realize just how little Aonung cared for her- how little he wanted her as his mate.

Just when she feels she should give up, the Metkayina leaders and her parents announce the betrothal of Ayturi and Aonung. But there's no time to talk about it, to see how Aonung will react.

Because moments after the announcement is made, outsiders arrive on the island.

The news of their betrothal is swept under the rug as they are given the task of teaching the newcomers their ways. But as the eldest son of Toruk Makto begin's to catch Ayturi's attention, how will Aonung react?

This story follows the first born child of the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik of the Omaticaya clan. Older sister to Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuktirey. She was raised to be the perfect balance of Neytiri and Jake, maybe a little too perfect. Follow her story as she has to give up the only life she has ever known to keep her people safe. --**-- My grandmother notices my frozen state and makes her way to me. "My child..." I turn to look at her, "do not be afraid of life, do not be afraid of fate, be afraid of doing nothing to change it." As the words leave her lips, it sparks a dying fire in my heart. A fire I thought would extinguish along with my title. I smile and pull her into a hug, "I will find my way back to you one day..." I whisper in her ear. "I know, and when you do, you will be a different person. I cannot wait to meet her." With her final words, and a newfound light in my soul, I turn to follow my family down the pathway. I reach the end and mount Kxitx, and with one last look at my clan, I pull my headpiece over my forehead, yip to signal takeoff, and burst from the ground like a sapling reaching to the sun. And we were off. --**-- If you don't like the story, feel free to not read it. Don't waste your energy commenting you don't like something. Just move on. Neteyam was dead. He died a warrior, protecting his family, his best friend, and his people. They all suffered from the loss, but nobody hurt as much as Ao'nung. In secret, he had bonded with Neteyam weeks before the fight against the demon ship. Na'vis were able to bond beyond what humans thought imaginable, and a mate's death was the worst pain they ever knew. Neteyam's death would have destroyed Ao'nung, if it weren't for one thing : He never felt the bond break. As much as he tried to tell his people, nobody believed him. But he knew. He couldn't explain it he simply knew. Of course, the only person that was ready to believe him was the one that couldn't accept Neteyam's death the most, and also the one that never obeyed a single order : Lo'ak. Or: How Neteyam and Ao'nung got together and how Ao'nung saves him from death. English is not my first language please be kind ;)
