Sure, Anti may be a jerk, but he has his reasons. He's afraid to get close to anyone because he doesn't want to hurt them, so he pushes everyone away. But of course Jackie doesn't see that, he's expressly against the glitch, which prompts Chase to stand up to him. Chase doesn't have a lot of purpose in his life, seeing as most of his existence is just trying to hide from his depression, but helping Anti might be the exact thing both of them need to get rid of the negative thoughts.
