But surely, one dance with Shiro wouldn't hurt anything? After all, doesn't he deserve to have some fun and maybe spill some long-suppressed emotions?

Of all times, this is one of the worst ones to grow claws and get purple fingers. Especially when Shiro is still high on adrenaline and the rest of the team is elsewhere in the castle. Instead, he slowly rested his head against Lance's, both of them turning their attention to the sunset as it deepened in color. Keith couldn't hold Lance's gaze for too long. "Okay," Lance murmured, shifting to get more comfortable against Keith. Lance stared out at the horizon. "Everything's so beautiful out here." "It is," Keith agreed, his voice quieter now. (What if Lance had frozen and couldn't ask Allura out on a date in Season 8, Episode 1? Instead, Lance realizes his feelings for Keith and asks him out on a date.
